July favourites 2013!

This month I have really gotten into creams, before I was really bad and rarely mosturised unless it was certain patches of my eczema. I finally used up my mango butter ans brought this one when it was on offer! I love the body shop butters they are so moisturising and smell amazing! This one smells just like the fruit! Lush's cuticle butter is a thick cream that puts moisture back into the nail. I find this stuff really helps strengthen my nails and make them grow!

I brought the balmi lip balm for holiday as it has spf in it and ive been using it non stop, it conditions my lips and give a gorgeous shiny effect making my lips look fuller, it also smells amazing too! Mac's all that glitters eyeshadow has been my go to colour this month, its a beautiful peachy gold colour. I love using my naked basics palette with this eyeshadow and just blending a darker colour into the crease and then using the matte black as eyeliner.

What I'm wearing on my face! #2

It's been so hot in England lately so I've been sporting the minimal makeup look! In this photo I'm wearing Illamasqua skin base foundation in 6 which I have been absolutely loving lately, natural collection pink cloud blush, mac's all that glitters eyeshadow lightly dusted over the lid, l'oreal telescopic mascara and a little bit of lip balm. When I said I hadn't been wearing a lot I meant it, this has been my go to look pretty much most days. I can't stand wearing loads of makeup and it sweating off my face, lovely image for you there! My hair is second day curls, I've been wearing it pretty messy lately or if it's to hot I'll just shove it up into a ponytail! I feel like I haven't spoken to all you in ages, hope everyone is well! Also don't forgot that I have a giveaway going on at the moment for one of you to win a revlon lip stain!

February Favourites 2013

These are a few of my favourite things...

Today I have a post about six products I have been loving over February.

I have been wearing the Bourjois healthy mix foundation nearly every day this month. I love it! I wont go on about as I have already done a blog post about it here

I love Natural Collection's lipstick and have been loving the shade 'Cranberry' this month. Its a gorgeous pink with red undertones. The thing I love with this colour is that you can sheer it out to an everyday shade or build it up for maximum effect. It's really creamy and very pigmented in just one stroke.
Another product from Natural Collection is their blusher in the shade 'Peach Melba' I have been wearing this colour so often this month! It is the perfect peachy pink colour and goes well with my skin tone. This colour goes nicely with most eye looks or lipsticks i wear so that is a big win win! It is nicely pigmented, it doesn't give the greatest pay off but can be built up, it's a nice natural everyday shade. I have been wearing Mac's 'Charcoal Brown' eyeshadow so much, I have done a blog post about it here. The gel eyeliner photographed above is by Maybelline. This has to be one of the greatest finds of the month, I was never interested in gel eyeliner but girls on youtube always made it look so easy to apply! So while I was in boots I picked one up and have been loving it ever since! It is so creamy and gives a really precise line.

Isn't the packaging the cutest? I love the pink bow on the top (It's the little things in life!). My boyfriend brought me Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy for our anniversary in January and I have only recently started using it on a regular basis. This has been my go to perfume this month. It has a sweet yet still mature scent, good description huh? On the perfumeshop website it says it has vanilla notes in it which I can just about smell, it definitely is a floral perfume but not so much it gives you a headache! I can't wait until summer as I know I will get so much use out of it! If you have the chance to smell this I would definitely recommend you do, As it's a sweeter perfume it makes me feel girly! haha.

Mac Charcoal brown eyeshadow review

Hello everyone!

Just a quick post today to tell you all about an eyeshadow I have been using religiously over the past few weeks. So I went to colchester a few weeks go as I had heard that a department store carries mac, the area I live in doesn't actually have a mac store and colchester isn't too far away so I was very excited! I really wanted to get an eyeshadow to fill in my eyebrows with and the lady who worked there suggested espresso, I tried this on and it was far too dark so she suggested 'Charcoal brown' which I think is a really good match.

Now I had heard some mixed reviews with mac matte eyeshadows, some people thought they were great where as others thought they were a little too hard to work with. From the photo above you can see that is has good pigmentation and I only had to swipe my finger across the eyehadow twice to get the colour payoff. So I have got on really well with this eyeshadow and it has become part of my everyday makeup routine. It's not only great for eyeshadow but really good for using in the crease to blend out eyeshadow (I do love a multi-use product!)

I would highly recommend this eyeshadow and definitely want to have a look at there other colours!

Mac Lovelorn lipstick review & swatches!

This the first mac lipstick I have ever bought and I am so glad I did. I love mac for there simple yet classy packaging. This lipstick is in the shade 'Lovelorn' and it is a beautiful mid tone blue based pink, the first swatch above is one swipe and the second is the colour built up quite a bit. Although this shade is in a lustre finish it actually gives a pretty good colour pay off. The shade lasts about 2-3 hours on me and fades to a light pink, it's not the longest lasting lipstick but I love it so much I don't mind re-applying! I think this shade would suit most people and if you have been thinking about getting it I would highly recommend you do!
